New Website & Features
Goals
- Reduce effort required for publishing event info & registration, and news
- Provide relevant resources for our members and their families
- Provide members with a website that is mobile-friendly
The website is best viewed in full screen mode. You may wish to view the site in landscape mode on tablets.
Full Size Browser Features
- Links - Search, Calendar, Login, and Facebook
- Slideshow - Provides event information and pictures. Click an event graphic to be taken to the event info/registration page
- Upcoming Events - Events are shown based on the calendar. They drop off the page once the event has passed. Users may view past events from the Calendar
- Recent News - News articles can be created in the Newsroom. When articles are created, the user can specify both start and end dates that control when the news is shown on the homepage
- Buttons - these are links to various resources such as My.Scouting and Internet Advancement
- Footer - Contact info, Service Center hours, Scout Shop Hours, and links for parents and volunteers
Small Screen Features
- Menu - menu button is available for navigation within the website

- Volunteer Hub - resources for parents and guardians. Access this page from the Resources menu
- Forms - links to BSA and council forms. Access this page from the Resources menu
- Contacts - Do you need contact info for your District Executive or council staff? Click on Council from the menu, then click Contacts
- Scout Shop - Take a look at the latest prices for uniforms and handbooks. Online ordering is coming soon for various council and camp merchandise. Click on Scout Shop from the menu
- Website Search - Need help finding information? Click the Search button in the upper-right corner. Note: this feature will be enabled the week of 11/16
- ICS Calendars - Add our calendar to your phone, tablet, or computer. Click the Resources menu and then Calendar. Links are available for council and district calendars.
